project life: wedding

wedding project life rae's days

Since I can’t stop talking about the wedding even a week later, I was stoked to work on some project life pages over the weekend.

I used mostly pictures from the actual day of the wedding. It was easy to create a color scheme that way since there was a lot of white and black.

My favorite part of these pages is my instagram picture grid! The bride and groom had an instagram tag for their wedding, and it was a blast to check everyone’s pictures. So I printed some out and put them into a 20-coin protector page. I love it. I have a few little hearts I might put in the blank squares, but I also like it as it is.

I also caught up on August and September project life pages, which I’ll share later. You can see my other project life updates here:

project life: july

project life album rae's days

This summer has gone so fast that I’ve just now caught up on Project life. I added an insert for my birthday and two pages for July.

birthday project life

For my birthday, I added a half page with pictures and a page protector with my post of things I’ve learned this past year printed out.

I added some pictures of flowers I got and some cards and tissue paper from gifts. I like how simple the inserts were to make and how pretty and colorful it is.

For July, I didn’t have many pictures of me and my friends, so I used the other pictures I had on hand. The large picture on the right is from getting drinks on the roof of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

I also added #fatcat of course and some books I read that month. I’m really crushed I didn’t take more pictures from the Fourth of July and all the other fun times this month, but I’ll just have to do better in the future. I think the pages still look nice and I wrote some notes on my date card so I would remember the events.

My favorite was this enlarged picture and the up on the roof embellishment. I think it’s just cute. August is almost over so soon I’ll be doing pages for this month, too!

project life: beach vacation

fat cat and project life

More project life! This time from our wonderful family vacation. #fatcat definitely likes the pages.

We had so much fun on vacation and there was no way I could include all the pictures. I chose some that I thought kept it beachy and relaxing–just like our trip.

project life: may

project life rae's days

It’s been a very busy summer. A wonderful, fun-filled, busy summer. I’m a little behind on project life, but these are the pages I made from a weekend trip in May. This was to celebrate my best friend Jewels‘ upcoming wedding.

We had so much fun. There was so much more I could have included, maybe I will go back and add a page or an insert. (Actually the more I think on this, the more I want to add things.)

We went to a baseball game, went to brunch, and went to some bars, but most of all we just enjoyed being around each other and celebrating our friend.

project life scrapbook

I used some sticker letters, and I also got maybe carried away with my new paper punch that makes the corners round. Other than that I used scrapbook paper and project life inserts. I have more pages to do for family vacation and the rest of June and July, so stay tuned.

project life update: apartment

project life rae's days

As you guys know, I entered my apartment into the Small Cool Spaces contest last month. (They are judging the finalists now, hop over and take a look!) It was so great to get my apartment in good shape and to show it off. And it was fun again to look back at everything for Project Life.

I used the pictures that I entered into the contest, plus a few that I have posted on here. I also included my shelf and pillow projects because I did those to get my apartment ready.

I used an insert for screenshots of my Apartment Therapy entry and for the first page of my blog entry on the contest. The quote cards are available for free here, on Elise Blaha Cripe’s blog Enjoy It.

It’s about halfway through the year and I’m still doing project life fairly consistently. I’ll likely add another few pages for May that have to do with the trip I took to Washington D.C. But that was so much fun I need some extra time to get it together.

project life: capturing an exciting announcement

A few weeks ago, when we were doing family book club, my brother made a really exciting announcement.

We all got on the video chat and someone noticed and asked what was on my bother’s T shirt. His shirt said “All hail the baby maker.” So my sister asked if it meant something, and sure enough it did. They are going to have a baby! His wife’s T shirt said “Coming soon” (though I was too slow to get a screen grab of it).

Screen Shot

I felt like I was in a Google commercial. You know, the ones that make you cry. We were all far apart, but we all were together virtually when we heard this news. I later asked him to pose so I could take this screen shot, which I printed out to put into an entire page in my project life album. I mean, this is big news!
